Scotland’s best spa: Tranquil coastal hotel takes top honour
An Ayrshire hotel’s spa has been crowned the best in Scotland.
The Gailes Hotel & Spa took the top title at the Prestige Hotel Awards, which were announced earlier this week.
Owned by the family-owned SimpsInns group, the Irvine venue beat Cameron House Hotel, Gleddoch Hotel Spa & Golf and Trump Turnberry to take the accolade.
Bosses at the popular venue thanked the public for voting for them.
The post on their Facebook page reads: “We are delighted to announce that The Gailes Hotel & Spa was named the winner in the ‘best spa and leisure hotel’ category at last night’s Prestige Hotel Awards
“Thank you to everyone who voted for us.”
It comes after Auchrannie Resort on the island of Arran was named as the best staycation hotel in the country at the same award ceremony.
The Gailes Hotel & Spa is part of the family-owned SimpsInns group with award winning hotel, restaurants, bars, golf and leisure in Ayrshire.
Venues include: The Old Loans Inn, Troon; The Waterside Hotel, West Kilbride; Si! Bar:Restaurant, Irvine; and Gailes Golf:Leisure in Irvine.
