Rangers fan left stunned as German hotel go the extra mile to deliver on special request
A balcony? Late check out? Sea view? A bottle of wine in your room for arrival? Breakfast in bed?
These are just some of the special requests that hotels often receive from their guests ahead of arrival.
But one German establishment received a quite unusual list from a Rangers fan who has travelled for his side’s Europa League semi final against Leipzig.
And, in typically efficient German fashion, the hotel delivered for the grateful punter ahead of the first leg match.
He shared his request on social media for his hotel to “put pictures of Rangers players James Tavernier, Steven Davis, and the Rangers squad in my room. Many thanks.”
The Ibrox diehard then posted a picture of the Ibrox club’s skipper with last season’s Scottish Premiership trophy, the squad celebration title No. 55 and Davis with his Player of the Year award from last season.
The fan joked he should also have asked for a spare ticket for the match with briefs like gold dust for the Euro showdown in east Germany.
Supporters replied in amazement with one saying “absolutely outstanding” and another added, “if any hotel deserves a Tripadvisor review…”
Rangers have been allocated just over 2000 official tickets for the clash with the Bundesliga but more have been set aside in a ‘neutral’ part of the ground.
